Full Time
Hours: 1st shift with overtime possible
(hours may vary)
Responsible for maintenance and operation of two or more multiple spindle automatic screw machines that turn, form and thread externally and internally cylindrical objects from metal bar stock.
Ideal candidates will have:
*Experience with ACME Gridley Automatic Screw Machines, but experience with Davenport or Brown & Sharp Screw Machines will be considered.
*Experience using basket systems to ensure effective sampling of the quality of machined components. *Experience stopping, starting, loading machines, maintaining fluid & lubricant levels and removing shavings from machines as deemed necessary.
*Experience verifying part conformity using micrometers, calipers, dial indicators and gauges is required. *Experience with dimension measurement systems, such as Keyence is a plus.
*Ability to read, analyze and understand part drawings
*Experience removing, resetting, sharpening and replacing machine tools
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Minimum 2 - 5 years experience operating and maintaining Automatic Screw Machine
Machine Trade School training is preferred.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Requires lifting up to fifty (50) pounds.
Must have own hand tools (screw drivers, pliers, etc.) and micrometers.
Wage: Depends on Experience
