Job Description
Medical Billing Clerk
Schedule:
Full Time
Monday-Friday
8am-5pm
Job Duties:
To ensure good customer service and to maintain quality relations with existing accounts. To handle the billing and claims processing to Medicare, Medicaid, Private Insurance, and patients.
-Gather service sheets, review for accuracy and completion.
-Determine patient eligibility for Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance.
- Determine claim applicability
-Data entry
- Process claims, both electronic and paper
-Negotiate with delinquent accounts
-Assist with compliance and report preparation.
-Answer telephones
-Respond to billing inquiries
-Assist in day-to-day operations and work together as a team
Candidate Considerations and Requirements:
- High School diploma
- Minimum of 1-year relevant experience
- Ability to lift up to 20lbs.
-Typing and accurate data entry
- Strong understanding of Medicare and Medicaid requirements.
-Professionalism and customer service
